Hi Guys, I wrote the letter below to my local library director after I found out they were hosting a Drag Queen Story Hour in my area. Since the liberals are militantly bomb-shelling these events everywhere, I thought I’d make this letter available for you to use to send to the library director if this event comes to a library near you. You can either use it as a framework to write your own or just copy and paste (and insert the names where indicated). If you copy and paste, I just ask that you please don’t change anything. Theology and my expression thereof is important, and I would like for it not to be added to or taken away from ie if you don’t agree with the letter, don’t use it.
However you want to write it, I hope this encourages you to get more involved with shutting down immorality in our society. If the libs can make a bunch of noise and get it done with conservative/Christian events, then Christians (who have God on their side), can certainly make just as much noise and accomplish the same. It’s time we stop taking the blows and start fighting back. And why not? It’s not really a fight with the God of the universe on our side, but he does call us to play an active role in this gospel war for people’s souls, not amongst flesh and blood, but against the spiritual principalities and rulers of this world (ie satan and his crew) as Ephesians 6 says. Please and thank you 🙂
Dear [insert recipient’s name],
Hi, my name is [insert your name] and it’s nice to meet you. I’m sure by now, you’ve received a ton of emails and phone calls in regards to the upcoming Drag Queen Story Hour at the [insert library name] Library. No doubt these messages have ranged from the intelligible to unintelligible, but my heart behind this message is to appeal to you rationally and calmly, because screaming and name-calling, etc doesn’t get anything accomplished.
I will be up front and say I am a Christian. This means I stand on the authority of all that the Bible says, because the words in this book proceed straight from the mouth of the single authority in this world who can lay claim to owning and ruling all of creation (Psalm 33, John 1). This authority I speak of is the one and only true El Shaddai, God Almighty. “It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens,” (Jeremiah 10:12, ESV). He alone is the rock and foundation that my worldview rests on, because the Lord Himself is truth and wisdom. Jesus is God’s Son, the second person of the triune God, who took on flesh (John 1) and came to earth to purchase his people (Titus 2) whose sins are forgiven by his death on the cross and resurrection three days later (1 Corinthians 15). It is this Jesus who literally holds everything in creation together (Colossians 1), and is sustaining you at this very moment and enabling you to be able to read and interpret this email.
As God’s creation, you know God exists (Romans 1), so I don’t have to convince you of that. Although I don’t know you, I know you are either suppressing his truth in unrighteousness or embracing it as his adopted child (Ephesians 1). Whether you accept his Word or not, you are his creation, made in his image, and as a result have his moral law stamped on your heart, soul and mind. Jesus sums up this moral law in two commandments in the New Testament, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind … You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’” (Matthew 22:37–39).
Sadly the worldview behind the drag queen community breaks these two commandments. They spurn God by rebelling against his natural assignment of gender to them, and go on to pervert the sanctity of sex he created for procreation and pleasure within marriage between one man and woman (Genesis 2). It is obvious that this community also thrives on the abuse of children, as seen through its brightest child stars dancing in front of adult men at a New York nightclub and posing with a naked transgender man for a photo amongst other abuses.
You may say that the library is public property and this community has freedom of expression, but the First Amendment is not a license to promote child abuse or shove immorality upon society. The main argument I’ve heard in favor of this event is that it will help influence children to be more “open” and “tolerant” of transgender and other particular liberal groups in society. Oddly enough, you hardly hear these same people cheering on “tolerance” towards those who are more conservative or Christian. I’ve even read arguments from drag queens saying this is just an innocent event to have fun with kids. For kids, that may be what’s running through their mind because they are naïve to the bigger picture.
But you, [insert recipient’s name], are an adult, and you know perfectly well that the drag queen community is militantly pushing these events across the country to capture the minds of kids to “groom” them as Dylan Pontiff admitted, and make them captive to their worldview. This way, they can take advantage of children to fulfil their sexual perversity and fuel their rebellion and hatred towards God. This is proven in the fact that of all the ways this community can promote itself, they choose to target and sacrifice the minds of innocent children to further their agenda. You may also say that parents can choose whether to take their kid to these events or not, but those of us who know the truth must do everything we can to warn and protect those who are deceived by this lie.
Of course on the surface, supporters are going to make these story times seem innocent, tolerant and fun, but this is how deception works. We’ve recently seen this in the abortion industry. First it was ok to murder babies in the first trimester, then the second, then the third, and now we’re talking about legally murdering them after they are born. This dark reality is cloaked in the saccharin of “women’s rights”, and the dark reality of the drag queen, in fact the entire LGBTQ movement, is cloaked in the sweet-sounding buzzwords of “sexual freedom”.
I don’t write these things with hate in my heart towards this community, nor do I think because “I” don’t agree with it, everyone else should follow what “I” want. Despite popular belief, I know full well that man (including myself) is not autonomous. It doesn’t matter what I think, but it matters what the God of the Bible thinks. He is holy, and righteous and deserves all praise and honor (Isaiah 6). What he says goes, and if he labels something as sin/rebellion against him, it is sin. Period. We are all accountable for how we live our lives, and you [insert recepient’s name], if you allow this event to go on, will not be able to wash your participation in this evil from your hands when you stand before your Creator. Trust me, as a fellow sinner, I know the boat you are in. But there is hope in the Savior, Jesus Christ, that I described above. There is hope to find forgiveness, life and truth in him through repenting of your sin and believing on his death and resurrection to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (Romans 10, 1 John 1). When we submit our whole self to God in this way, he not only justly restores our sinful soul from the pit of hell it deserves to be in, he restores the sanity that sin takes away from us, and gives us eyes to see his truth clearly on this earth.
The most loving thing I can think of is to write you, and anyone who supports these drag queen story events, this email/letter of warning. As mentioned above, there is no neutrality with God, you are either for him or against him. What side of eternity will you find yourself on, not only in the issue of giving this sinful event a space and platform, but in the issue of your sin nature in general (again I have this sin nature as well)? I pray you run with abandon to the Savior’s side, and then clearly see the evil deception behind these events. If you don’t submit to God in repentance and faith you will be justly rewarded with the wages of your sin, which is an eternity in hell (Romans 6, Luke 12), and I don’t say this with any gladness in my heart. Regardless, whether or not you believe you are a Christian, please obey our Lord (the highest authority who sets the moral standards) in cancelling this event. Our children’s future depends on the decisions made today.
Thank you and I appreciate you taking the time to read my email!
Sincerely,
[insert your name]
